Isophya pyrenaea
Pyrenäen-Plumpschrecke

Subspecies

Original description

Synonyms
Isophya pyrenae auct. (misspelling)

Additional German name: Pyrenäische Plumpschrecke.

Identification

Distribution
Confident records of this species are currently available only for southern France. For a long time, this species has been confused with Isophya kraussii and most (if not all) older German records of Isophya pyrenaea actually refer to Isophya kraussii. However, due to the confusion of the two species their range of occurrence is not well understood and thus the true Isophya pyrenaea might be more widespread than is now thought. Finds of Isophya specimens in Germany should therefore be carefully checked for their identity.
