Aphrophora salicis unicolor Haupt, 1919

Note: The epithet salicis is not considered as valid by most authors. I am not sure about the reasons for this; in my opinion the name is properly published as a trinomen, showing that De Geer, 1773 considered it as a variety of Linnaeus´ Cicada spumaria. I am currently not aware of a ruling by the Commission that invalidates this name; I therefore think that it is available and should have priority, but I provisionally retain the epithet salicina that is used by most current authors.
