Subspecies

Three recognized subspecies. The nominate form does not occur in Germany. The subspecies that occurs in Germany is Ephestia mistralella moebiusi.

Distribution
The nominate subspecies occurs in southern France and Corsica. Ephestia mistralella moebiusi occurs in Denmark, Finland, and Germany. In Germany recorded from Brandenburg, Sachsen, Thüringen. Records from Schleswig-Holstein are lacking, but can be expected given the occurence of this species in Denmark.
