Distribution
Alps and eastern Carpathian mountains. In Germany recorded from Baden-Württemberg (older records) and Bayern. Old and doubtful records also exist from Brandenburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Thüringen; these records probably are misidentifications of C. permutatella, because the two species are virtually identical in appearance.
