Subspecies
5 subspecies are recognized. The nominate form does not occur in Germany, but the subspecies Asalebria florella joesti is recorded from Germany.

Distribution
The nominate subspecies occurs in western Russia and the Balcans. Asalebria florella joesti occurs in France and Germany. Other subspecies occur in southern Europe, Asia Minor and North Africa. In Germany recorded from Rheinland-Pfalz (Albersweiler, Altenbamberg, Birkweiler, Duchroth, Oberhausen, Steinalb, Eller/Mosel, Moselkern, Loreley (Roesler, 1993)).
