However, Arenberger (2005) showed that most of them are bona species and most of the remaining taxa are synonyms of other species, not of S. bipunctidactyla. Pterophorus hodgkinsonii is not a synonym of Stenoptilia bipunctidactyla, but of Stenoptilia zophodactyla.
