Identification

Distribution
This species is native to south-western Europe (Spain, France, Italy), but has been recorded from other European countries as well. These records may be introduced specimens (introduced with ornamental plants), but this is unclear. In Germany, there are only few records from Nordrhein-Westfalen, Saarland and Bayern (Segerer et al. 2015).

Biology
The larva feeds on Thuja and Juniperus; apparently the species is frequently introduced in several European countries (including Germany) with infested ornamental plants of these genera.
