Dictenidia bimaculata

Subspecies
Some authors regard the nominal taxon Xiphura fulvida Bigot, 1861 as a subspecies, or a synonym of the present species. However, to my knowledge the whereabouts of the type(s) of X. fulvida are not known and therefore I follow the lead of Mannheims (1953) who synonymized the name with Ctenophora pectinicornis (see there for further discussion). No subspecies of Dictenidia bimaculata are recognized.
