Krivosheina, 2006

Chrysopilus subsplendidus Krivosheina, 2006

This taxon, described by Krivosheina (2006), is based on a single male specimen collected in Niemcza (Poland).  It is very similar to Chrysopilus nigritus and might be an aberrant specimen. It is thus a possible synonym of Chrysopilus nigritus.

Identification

Distribution
This species is so far only known from the type locality Niemcza (Nimptsch) in Poland. Since this town is not so far from the German border, the species might be recorded in Germany in the near future.
