Note: trigonana is a name used by Stephens in his personal catalog. He publishes this name in 1834 (Stephens 1834) when he provisionally identifies his trigonana with Hübner´s ephippana. This is a misidentification, but more importantly, it is the first publication of the name trigonana. Because the name is thus first published in synonymy and has not been used as a valid name before 1961, it is not available for nomenclature (Article 11.6.).
