Subspecies
No subspecies are recognized.
Synonyms
Nemophora scopolii Kozlov, Mutanen, Lee et Huemer, 2017 (p. 342)
Type data: Type locality Nörsach (Osttirol, Austria). Holotype deposited with the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck (fide Kozlov et al. 2017)

Kozlov et al. 2017 divide the species Nemophora degeerella into three cryptic species (two of which they describe as new): Nemophora degeerella, Nemophora scopolii, and Nemophora deceptoriella. The available evidence for the presence of cryptic species within Nemophora degeerella is weak (see discussion under Nemophora degeerella), but I provisionally adopt the concept of three cryptic species by Kozlov et al. 2017 until more information on the validity of the concept becomes available. Of the three species, only two are reported from Germany, Nemophora degeerella and Nemophora scopolii, whereas the third species, Nemophora deceptoriella, is apparently restricted to the Caucasus region.
