Sirex carinthiacus

Subspecies
Some authors recognize this taxon as a subspecies of Sirex juvencus, but this notion cannot be supported, because both taxa are sympatric in Central Europe (for further comments see "Synonyms" below. No subspecies are recognized.

Original description

Synonyms
Sirex carinthiacus Konow, 1890 (correct date?) (nomen nudum?)
Sirex carinthiacus Konow, 1891 (correct date?) (original description?)
Sirex carinthiacus Konow, 1892 (correct date?) (reference?)
Sirex juvencus carinthiacus (Konow, date unclear)
Paururus carinthiacus (Konow, date unclear)

Note: I was not able to see the original description in the Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift and thus was not able to establish the correct date of publication.

Note: This taxon might be a synonym of Sirex juvencus. More material and data on the biology are required to clarify this issue.
