Subspecies
(1) Berytinus hirticornis hirticornis (Brulle,

(2) Berytinus hirticornis nigrolineatus (Jakovlev,
1903)
(3) Berytinus hirticornis pilipes (Puton, 1875)
All subspecies were originally described as
separate species, but were subsequently downgraded
to subspecies status. However, the "sub"species
are sympatric in a large portion of their range
and this strongly argues for species status. Only
the nominate form occurs in Germany.
