Stuke and Schacht (2009) have already drawn attention to the fact that the taxa impudica and umbrosa cannot be reliably separated. Ozerov (2014) has studied the type material of umbrosa and has found it to be identical with impudica. I provisionally accept this synonymy, but I would like to point out that most authors regard Cordilura impudica as a nomen dubium that cannot be identified. Ozerov does not give any evidence that he has also studied type material of impudica, thus it remains unclear how he can conclude that the lectotype of umbrosa is conspecific with the doubtful impudica without clarifying the identity of impudica first.
