The taxon Chrysopilus subauratus described by
Krivosheina (2006) from
Romania seems to be identical to Chrysopilus
maerens; the genital
morphology shows no obvious differences and
the few color differences
are insignificant given the high intraspecific
variability of body
coloration in all species of this genus.
