(2) Omaloplia ruricola nicolasi (Baraud, 1965)
(3) Omaloplia ruricola tergestina (Baraud, 1965)
The status of the taxon tergestina is unclear. It is mostly regarded as a
synonym of the nominal subspecies. However, it differs from the
nominate form by the hairy elytra and is also geographically restricted
(mainly Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Hercegovina). I therefore list it as a
separate subspecies.
Only the nominate form occurs in Germany.

nominate form is recorded from the UK, Spain, Germany, Austria,
Bosnia-Hercegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia,
Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Greece, France, Georgia.
The subspecies nicolasi is known from France, Italy, Albania, Macedonia,
and Serbia. The subspecies tergestina is known from Austria, Slovenia,
Croatia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Montenegro, and Albania.
