Note: The nominal Dermestes punctum is problematical. The original
description is unclear and no type specimen can be traced. All
specimens in collections determined to be "Dermestes punctum" proved to
be other species not related to Corylophidae. Thus, this name is a
nomen dubium. There is a long tradition to place the name either in the
synonymy of O. atomarius or O. atomus. I follow Bowestead (1999) who
leaves this doubtful name in the synonymy of O. atomus.
