Aegomorphus clavipes

Subspecies
The relationship of the present species with the taxa Aegomorphus francottei (Sama, 1994), Aegomorphus obscurior (Pic, 1904) (= Aegomorphus wojtylai Hilszczanski et Bystrowski, 2005) and Aegomorphus planiusculus (Holzschuh, 1998) is unclear. These taxa (none of which has been recorded from Germany yet) are very similar to Aegomorphus clavipes and their status as bona species is not generally accepted. For lack of data, I provisionally retain them here as separate taxa, and therefore do not list them as subspecies or synonyms of the present species. No subspecies of Aegomorphus clavipes are recognized here.
