Distribution
Distributed in Europe and Asia east to Siberia. Also occurring in North Africa. In Germany a common species in northern and eastern Germany, less frequent in southern and western parts of the country.


Biology
Habitat: Dry slopes, semi-dry lawns, forest edges, grainfields. Also in sand dunes and gravel pits. Hides under stones, moss, straw, or other plant material. Often found on grass or bushes, sometimes on building walls.
Overwinters as imago.
