Identification

Distribution
The species is recorded from Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine. In Germany recorded from Bayern, Thüringen, Baden-Württemberg, Hessen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Sachsen. In Germany the species is very rare and protected by law (Red List category 2).

Biology
Habitat deciduous forests and forest edges. Often found on sycamore maple flowers. Imagines occur from May to July.
