Anommatus duodecimstriatus

Subspecies

Two subspecies are recognized, but only the nominate form occurs in Germany. The second subspecies, Anommatus duodecimstriatus corcyranus Dajoz, 1965, has been described from the island of Korfu (Corfou).

Synonyms
Synonymy of Anommatus duodecimstriatus duodecimstriatus:

Lyctus duodecimstriatus Müller, 1821
Anommatus duodecimstriatus (Müller, 1821)
Anommatus duodecimstriatus duodecimstriatus (Müller, 1821)
Anommatus obsoletus (Stephens, 1830)
Anommatus terricola (Wesmael, 1835)
Anommatus pusillus (Schaufuss, 1861)
Anommatus basalis (Reitter, 1883)
Anommatus roubali Vsetecka, 1948

Anommatus roubali has been described as a new species from Prague (Czech Republic) and is said to differ only slightly from Anommatus duodecimstriatus. However, the original author accidentally compared it not to Anommatus duodecimstriatus, but to specimens of Anommatus pannonicus misidentified as Anommatus duodecimstriatus. Thus, it differs slightly from A. pannonicus, but is identical to A. duodecimstriatus. The same might be true for the species Anommatus malisorum Vsetecka, 1948, which might also be a synonym of A. duodecimstriatus.

Distribution
In Germany recorded from most Länder, except for Hessen, Saarland, and the north. The species also occurs in most European countries except for the north.
