Lacinius horridus



Subspecies
The subspecific structure of Lacinius horridus is currently unclear. The taxa gallipoliensis and bulgaricus might be good subspecies, but the data set is not yet conclusive. Therefore, I currently do not recognize subspecies and include all taxa in the synonymy (see below), but this is only a provisional measure.

Identification


Distribution


South and south-east Europe; north to most of central Europe and south Sweden; eastern border probably western Russia. In Germany distributed in the south; northern border unclear: reports exist from Hamburg, but records further north are lacking.
