Venues, Maps

The conferernce will be held in the Historical Building of the Göttingen University Library; the evening lectutre on Friday will be gven in the Paulinerkirche, which is part the library buildings.
For the dinners, a room is reservered in the "Kartoffelhaus", Goetheallee 8.

The Historical Building of the Göttingen University Library is located in the historical center of Göttingen; its address is "Papendiek 14" (opposite to the building of the Institute for the History of Science,  Papendiek 16, marked on the map below)

Arrival by train
ca. 500 m walk; leave the station towards the center ("Innenstadt"); cross foreyard of the station and the "Berliner Straße" into the "Goetheallee"; follow the "Goetheallee"; after crossing a small bridge turn right into the "Papendiek".

Arrival by car
leave Autobahn A7 at the departure "Göttingen" (not "Göttingen Nord") and follow Bundesstraße B3 direction "Innenstadt" (city); about 5 km straight ahead; after crossing under a railway-bridge. you arrive at a major crossing of the B3 and the "Berliner Straße" (on the map: left bottom); go straight ahead into the Groner-Tor-Straße; turn left from this at he first possibility ("Alte Wollenweber Weg"; after 50 m this street takes the name "Papendiek"; attention:  this is a one-way street!).
A reserved parking area close to the institute can be opened for visitors.
