The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2004 has been released on October 20 2004.
This index is compiled at the University of Passau on behalf of Transparency International. This website provides an extensive coverage on the methodology and the data.
From October 11-18,2004 the University of Passau offers a lecture on "The Economics of Corruption".
After four successful courses a revised and further improved lecture is now held by Prof. Graf Lambsdorff. The course will be given in English and is primarily directed towards graduate students in economics but also open to a wider audience, including post-graduate students and those from other disciplines. Please obtain further information.
Prof. Dr. Johann Graf Lambsdorff has obtained a chair position in economic theory at the University of Passau, Germany. Being the "father" of the Corruption Perceptions Index, he also moved the coordination of this Internet Service to the University of Passau, Germany. Official partner for Transparency International with respect to the statistical work and the Corruption Perceptions Index is the University of Passau.
