  • Study the textbook: F. Mossé, A Handbook of Middle English, trans. J. A. Walker, 2nd ed. rep. (Baltimore, 2001). Prepare and translate the relevant pages, and note all problems and arising questions for discussion in class.


  • It is recommended that you consult further publications for more information. Here you can find a useful Bibliography .


  • Study and prepare any relevant handouts found in the folder labelled Traxel Proseminar in the departmental library. Note all problems and arising questions for discussion in class.



  • ASSESSMENT FACTORS

  • Final exam on 11 February (50%).


  • Piece of coursework to be handed in on 11 April at the latest (texts to be distributed on 11 February) (50%).


  • Regular participation and preparation as well as commitment in class. This may be taken into account when calculating the final mark.
