Pseudodineura parvula

Subspecies
No subspecies are recognized. However, the species displays variability concerning host plant and antennal and ovipositor morphology (see e.g. Liston et al. 2019), and it might therefore be a complex of cryptic species.
Synonyms
Tenthredo parvula Klug, 1816
Pseudodineura parvula (Klug, 1816)
Holotype: Female specimen from Austria, in ZMHB, fide Liston et al. 2019
Tenthredo minuta Lepeletier et Serville (in Latreille et al. 1828) (nec Christ, 1791; junior primary homonym)
Pelmatopus heringi Enslin, 1921
Pseudodineura heringi (Enslin, 1921)
Lectotype: Female specimen from Rüdersdorf, Brandenburg, Germany, in ZSM, designated by Liston et al. 2019

The taxon heringi has been synonymized by Liston et al. 2019, because no differences in male genitalia or COI gene sequence ("genetic bar code") were found. I provisionally adopt this notion here, but I expect future changes, when the genetic substructure of this species is examined in greater detail (see also chapter Subspecies above).
