Subspecies
No subspecies are recognized.
Synonyms
Pontania parcivalvis Konow, 1901
Dineura parcivalvis (Konow, 1901)
Lectotype: Female specimen from Tartu (Estonia) in SDEI, designated by Liston et al. 2019.

The present taxon is often regarded as a synonym of Dineura testaceipes, but Liston et al. (2019) regard it as a separate species based on differences in larval host plant and penis valve morphology, and because a phylogenetic sequence analysis of partial sequences of COI and TPI genes place the two taxa in separate clades. I follow this notion here.
