Misidentifications: Halyomorpha picus auct. nec Fabricius, xxxx Distant, 1880 and 1893 Identification Distribution Originally an eastern Asian species, it has been introduced into several other areas of the world. It is now resident along the eastern coast of the USA and scattered records exist from elsewhere in the USA. In Europe it is known from Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany.
