Taxonomy
This species might in fact be two or more species. There is a closely related species in eastern Europe, Leiobunum tisciae, and several populations of L. rupestre are more similar to tisciae than to rupestre. This species complex clearly deserves more work.

Distribution

Mainly eastern Europe. In Germany in the north and the south.
