Collaboration with the University of Costa Rica

Last year we visited the University of Costa Rica (UCR) with 25 students. In May Prof. Victor Jimenez from UCR came to Goettingen to deliver a talk on the use of biotechnology in tropical fruit production. In November a PhD student from UCR Edilberto Montenegro joined our lab to work with Anke on DGGE and Dr. Adriana Murillo-Williams visited our lab (see photo below). In March 2009 Petr participated on a workshop in UCR (his presentation will be available for download soon) and brought home rice samples for mycotoxin analysis. Now Adriana is visiting Goettingen for a second time to prepare future joint projects.
