Husam, Teresa and Ramesh joined the lab
Ramesh Subramani (left) from India came to Goettingen in September, Teresa Galvan (middle) from Spain and Husam Ibrahem Aroud (right) from Syria started in the lab in October. Ramesh is working in secondary metabolites from Streptomyces and Teresa joined Awais' project on the the role of zearalenone in the interaction between Gliocladium roseum and Fusarium spp. (We will introduce Awais Ahmed and his project on their own website soon.) Husam is a natural products chemist, his work will focus on infection-specific metabolites in a plant/fungus system.
