Professor Roesky devotes his time both to scientific research and as well in popularizing science (in particular chemistry) to general public. He is well-known both through his scientific publications (above 700 papers in internationally reputed journals) and his Science Education experiments for everybody.
His research group (which contains approximately 30 members) is made up of undergraduate, graduate students, post-docs, and scientists coming from all over the world.
Prof. Roesky's group has varied research interests which are reflected in his recent contributions to many facets of inorganic chemistry, catalysis, and materials science.
Many problems such as Organometallic Fluorides, Metallasiloxanes, Metallacycles, Metallaphosphonates, Alumoxanes, Main-Group and Metal Clusters, and Coordination Polymers are being currently investigated.
In recent years, considerable efforts of his research group is also been directed towards catalysis related problems, with emphasis on developments of hydroformylation catalysts (homogeneous and two-phase) and oxidation and epoxidation (heterogeneous) catalysts.
Several precursors (including Single-Source) synthesized in his group over the years, films such as blue-BN, Boron-Rich-BN, GaN, and CdSe have been deposited using CVD techniques.
